I have a rental property where the tree overgrew and started damaging the roof. Barrett had previously done some trimming for us on our primary home, which I was very happy with. Our neighbors/friends also use Barrett and reported how happy they were.

REVISION: After my previous review and follow-up contact, Nate and Barrett Tree sent a crew to address the issues at no charge. They also removed another tree that needed attention, also free of charge.

OLD REVIEW: We hired Barrett to trim two large ash trees in spring 2025 at nearly $2,000 per tree. Within a month of completion, we discovered multiple large dead branches that were left untrimmed and a volunteer tree growing in the main trunk that wasn't removed.
When I contacted Nate about these oversights, he promised to come assess the situation and follow up with me. Despite my attempts to reconnect, I never heard back from him.
For a company that positions itself as a premium tree service, I expected thorough work and professional communication when issues arose. Neither happened here. The lack of attention to detail during the initial service, combined with poor follow-up when concerns were raised, doesn't justify their high-end pricing.
I cannot recommend Barrett based on this experience.

Wonderful care of our copper beech tree
Barrett has been taking wonderful care of our 150-year-old copper beech tree! They did a great job trimming off her dead branches and have been diligently seeing to her health every fall and spring. Alden and the team are keeping a close eye on beech leaf disease and offering every preventive available with the transparency that this is a moving target.
