Trumbull Barrett and his team did a great job of removing our declining 80-year-old, 40-foot-tall Catalpa tree from our front yard. Although it was sad to see our old friend go, Trumbull was sensitive to our situation. He was flexible in setting up a time and explaining the process. His crew was prompt, courteous and professional in the way they took the tree down with minimal impact on the rest of the yard. And I really appreciated their clean-up effort. I wish to express my pleasure with your professionalism and your integrity with the work you did recently. My initial meeting with Trumbull Barrett was punctual. He assured with his knowledge and easy going manner. I left feeling I had chosen a competent company for my tree service needs. A box elder had cracked in a recent storm and was now resting against a nearby tree. Another tree had rotted at the base which resulted in it falling down in my yard as well. Trumbull suggested I remove five trees to take care of future concerns before they became problems. It made sense to do so. He also cut branches ten feet away from the back of the house and four feet along the side, that now lets more light in and keeps squirrels out.
Work was to take place between 8:30-9:00 AM. The first truck arrived at 8:45 AM, followed closely behind by a second truck with Trumbull Barrett. After reviewing the work to be done, I remained on the property for about an hour and then left. I returned at 3 PM to find the work completed as agreed to my utmost delight. The back yard was clear of branches and debris, save a sprinkling of wood chips that I felt would enrich the soil.
I was thoroughly impressed by the work done by Barrett Tree Service. Trumbull Barrett exemplifies punctuality and professionalism, as does his entire crew. I've never felt so comfortable leaving my property in someones hands while I go off to work. Previously I had contacted another tree service for estimates twice. They never showed for either appointment. My experience with Barrett Tree Service was exactly the opposite. I heartily recommend them to others because I know they will be just as pleased as I was by their professionalism and competency. Barrett Tree Service got the job done right.

I had yews removed from front yard which had grown into a chain link fence with stumps ground down and a large elm tree trimmed. Excellent service from Trumbull Barrett and his crew. They finished the job in record time and did an excellent job cleaning up.

They sprayed bacterium for winter moss. Trumbull was excellent and professional. He showed up when he said he would and did a good job. He wasn't the cheapest, but I felt that I got what I paid for.

Trumbull removed a large inkberry shrub from my garden and trimmed off a large branch on a Japanese maple. Removing the inkberry and getting all of the roots out was a fair amount of physical labor. He also scheduled the job on a Sunday afternoon in order to fit me into his busy schedule. Trumbull was terrific! From answering my initial call at 8:30 pm (when I expected to be greeted by an answering machine), to coming to give an estimate when he said he would, to taking out the shrub, pruning the maple, and taking all of the debris out with him so. He even brought a leaf blower to clean up afterwards. He made the job look easy but managed to remove the entire rootball and stray roots, and was very thorough, professional, polite, and easy to work with.

We had five large trees and a number of smaller trees removed. Excellent! They were super-tree men! Very professional. They came on time, made sure they could drive the trucks into the yard, and began to work right away. I was able to change which trees I wanted removed midway and Trumbull offered suggestions about which changes made sense. They threw in a couple of small trees for no extra charge. They were done before 5 and had cleaned up the place beautifully plus left us about a half a cord of wood nicely stacked for our fire next year. We already made plans for them to come and remove another tree in winter. They give Angie's list members a 5% discount on all services and also have a winter discount.

Barrett Tree Service East removed 2 very large maple trees from a Cambridge backyard. The largest was very close to our house (5 feet) and the neighbor's house. Excellent, from start to finish. Trumbull Barrett is friendly, flexible and efficient, as well as being an experienced professional. He was personable and responsive from the first phone call. I was very worried about the possibility of tree limbs falling on my neighbor's house or damaging something in their yard (this happened last time when I just had the trees pruned, by another company). Trumbull was understanding and went way out of his way to ease my worries. I live out of town (the house is currently a rental), so he introduced himself to the neighbors to make sure they were okay with everything. He also checked with them when he was finished to make sure they had no complaints. (And I believe he trimmed a few branches for them too, in thanks for them moving their cars so he could park his truck in front of our house). We arranged the work on short notice, so there wasn't time for the police permit to reserve parking, so we arranged it with my tenants and the neighbors to free the spots he needed. This was a little extra effort on his part, that incidentally saved me some money. Trumbull was the best choice for the job, having given me the most competitive bid, but with his friendliness and patience and flexibility, he was perfect for a worried out-of-town landlord like me. He called me mid-job to let me know how things were progressing and even emailed me pictures afterwards. I recommend him very highly!! I'd give him an A+ if the form allowed it.
